形態特徵

Plants 40-70 cm tall. Rhizomes distinct, short, ca. 5-8 mm thick. Pseudobulbs erect or ascending, ovoid-clavate, 2-3 cm tall, 1.5 cm in diam., with 4-6 nodes.
Leaves 3 or 4, fasciculed, oblanceolate, 40- 70 cm long, 6-11 cm wide, apex acuminate, base narrowed into a petiole ca. 6-8 cm long, mainly 5- nerved.
Scapes arising from base of pseudobulb, 30-50 cm long, 4-6 mm in diam., with many tubular scales below, flower bearing portion ca. 10 cm long, densely flowered; bracts large, hyaline, soon deciduous, linear-lanceolate, 3-4 cm long; pedicel and ovary 12-15 mm long, ovary glabrous but with verrucose surface. Flowers yellow, not opening, more or less pendulous; sepals ovate-oblong, 8-10 mm long, 4-5 mm wide, acute at apex, not contracted at base; petals obovate, 7-9 mm long, 4-5 mm wide, abruptly acute at apex, contracted at base; lip 3-lobed, lateral lobes small, orbicular, 1-1.5 mm across, midlobe reniform, 3.5-4 mm long, 5.5-8 mm wide, emarginate at apex, entire or slightly wavy, disc with 2 elevated ridges at base, spur 3.5-5 mm long, curved toward ovary, shorter than ovary; column 4-5 mm long, connate with base of lip; anther white, cap-like, 2 mm long; pollinia short clavate, connected to small viscidium; stigma terminal; rostellum absent.

分布

台灣 : very common in forests below 1,500 m in elevation.
世界 : Widely distributed in Japan, the Ryukyus, southern China, the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and Malaysia.
